Often you might find that our course dates do not work for you or that you’d prefer private instruction for yourself or a group, in such cases you can book personalised days out with a Mountain Training qualified Mountain Leader or a Rock Climbing Development Instructor and Coach. If you are interested in booking a private course, get in touch.
Bespoke Private Outdoor Instruction
Our Mountain Leader, Rock Climbing Development Instructor and Coach is available for as little as £280 per day, this includes any equipment required and instruction for a full day. For groups, any of our courses are available or we can design a course around your requirements as long as it fits our ratios below.
Private Course Ratios
General Indoor/Outdoor Rock Climbing Activities
Our maximum ratio for top/bottom roping, abseiling and bouldering are 1 instructor to 6 participants. This does not extent to lead climbing.
Hillwalking/Navigation/Expedition Skills Courses
Our maximum ratio for HIllwalking, navigation and expedition skill courses are 1 instructor to 8 participants. This does not extent to lead climbing.
Indoor/Outdoor Lead Climbing Instruction
Due to increased risk management required for lead climbing instruction we do not teach beyond 1 instructor to 2 participants.
If you would like to do an activity with a group beyond our required ratios above, we can do this with an additional instructor for a small cost of £200 per day on top of the initial instructor fee above. To reduce impact on the outdoor environment, we do not accept groups larger than 12 participants and where possible, we try to split into two groups and use two different venues to reduce environmental impact.
