OVERVIEW
Build confidence in your trad climbing skills, on single pitch climbs. Open up confidence to explore new crags and areas. You will learn the mysterious tricks that allow you to move safely and smartly for the big adventures you are craving. This is the perfect course if you want to start using more advanced skills such as half ropes, guide plating and personal abseils.

This course aims to improve your skills, make you more confident, provide personal coaching and support your aspirations.
PRE-REQUISITES
This course is for climbers with some experience of leading single pitch climbs.
IS IT FOR ME?
This course is run on a one instructor to two participants ratio (1:2) allowing your instructor to ‘fine tune’ the days to meet participants personal aims and pitch it at a level appropriate to each individual’s stage of development.
CONTENT
Meeting your instructor on the first morning provides an opportunity to discuss your experience and aspirations enabling the instructor to plan the program around your needs. These are:
Focus on personal coaching and building on your rock climbing skills
Refining gear placement and rope management
Safe abseiling and retreating from a climb
Stance management and use of guide plates and half ropes
Guidebook interpretation and route finding skills
